Discover Asia

Discover Asia is the informational and educational initiative of the “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” IPF, where each Asian country is represented through experts, trade and economic attaches, businessmen, and representatives of governments. During the meetings, one could gain knowledge about business opportunities, culture, traditions, successful experience and know-how in economics and finance, production, social practice of countries such as Malaysia, India, Japan, China, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Korea, Kazakhstan and Mongolia. Regular monthly meeting events were attended by representatives of business and civil society, government officials, academia, postgraduate and doctoral students, diplomats, and journalists. In 2014-2015 within the Discover Asia - New Format project leading international experts and political scientists from Russia came to Kyrgyzstan. Experts presented their visions of existing international problems, during open lectures answered exciting questions about the cooperation among CIS member countries, the Customs Union, and discussed migration and security issues in the Central Asian region. Ahmed Rashid, a well-known writer and journalist from Pakistan, gave lectures on security and stability in the region of Central Asia, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
