The International Public Foundation Roza Otunbaeva Initiative in cooperation with the Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank (KICB) and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) will organize the annual spring tree planting.

Over the past 12 years, the Foundation has worked with partners to plant more than 18,600 trees and greenery in schools and kindergartens across the capital.

The main goal of this environmental initiative is to create a favorable microclimate on the territory of schools and kindergartens, to draw public attention to a responsible attitude towards nature and to create green spaces for future generations.

This year the planting of trees and shrubs will take place in 11 educational institutions: secondary schools № 35, 97, 98, 102, kindergartens № 7, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, as well as in the Krasnaya-Rechka special boarding school for mentally retarded children and orphans. The total number of planted green areas in 2024 will be 1,130 trees.

This action is part of the Foundation's sustainable strategy to improve the environmental situation in the country and we are committed to its further development. We believe that green spaces contribute to creating a healthy and attractive environment for our children, as well as making public spaces more sustainable and comfortable for all citizens.
