Roza Kaiykova, Executive Director of the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative IPF, emphasized the long-term fruitful work of the foundation in greening schools and kindergartens throughout the capital. "Through joint efforts, more than 18,600 trees and green areas have been planted as part of the Green Foundation project. The ROI IPF makes every effort to develop the education sector in the country, and this year, with the financial support of KICB, it has equipped the methodological centers of the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic".

Arif Ali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KICB, expressed his gratitude to the IPF ROI for its continued support of this initiative. "This action started back in 2012, and we are proud that we have been able to plant so many trees together. The choice of schools and kindergartens for planting is not accidental - we want to lay the foundation for environmental education of future generations." KICB presented books published by the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative IPF to Kindergarten №25.

Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyz Republic Dogdurgiul Kendirbaeva supported the initiative of the Foundation, KICB and AKDN: "We support the efforts aimed at development of education and ensuring environmental safety of educational institutions. The Ministry of Education has launched the action "Every child - One tree", which is an important step in this direction".

AKDN Diplomatic Representative Barkat Fazal pointed out the importance of social responsibility: "Today's initiative is an example of AKDN's social responsibility. We believe that such projects shape the younger generation's understanding of the importance of caring for the environment"

As part of this project, trees and shrubs will be planted in 2024 in 11 locations: secondary schools № 35, 97, 98, 102, kindergartens № 7, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25 and Krasnaya-Rechka special boarding school for mentally retarded children and orphans. The total number of planted green areas for 2024 will be 1,130 trees.

Despite the rainy weather, the tree planting was successful, which we take as a good sign for the saplings.
